UPSC Exam cannot be commenced let alone complete without multiple thorough readings of NCERT textbooks. This is the utmost basic thing to do. These textbooks not only give aspirants insights about every subject but also help understand the basic functioning of the system. It covers all topics which are important and gives us a crystal clear conceptual clarity. NCERT textbooks are rightfully considered as ‘holy books’ due to these reasons.
From the very beginning, UPSC has asked many questions directly from these NCERT’s . As UPSC civil services prelims and mains exam is very comprehensive and requires understanding across broad domain of subjects.
