What is a Typhoon?
A typhoon is a tropical cyclone that forms over the northwestern Pacific Ocean, the regional term equivalent to "hurricane" (Atlantic/NE Pacific) and "cyclone" (South Pacific/Indian Ocean) — classification is region-specific, not structurally different.
