On 20th August 2024, WBPSC introduced a revised WBCS syllabus and exam pattern for 2025, aligning closely with the UPSC CSE format. The prelims now feature two General Studies papers, while the mains include four General Studies papers, an essay paper, a paper on West Bengal culture, and an optional subject with two papers, followed by a personal interview.
